Masterclass: QUO VADIS, Branding? with Aneta Bogdan and Cristian Kit Paul

April 28 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The branding sector, along with the broader creative services space, is going through a moment of tension. The field is trying to make sense of whether it is facing a transformation, a shift, or something more fundamental: a disruption. Branding as a practice is multi layered. At its foundation lies strategy, grounded in market realities, consumer behavior and expectations, and the business promise. The second layer is design, shaped by contextual aesthetics, functional logic, and the capacity to engage human emotion at a subliminal level. The third layer is the brand’s live communication, both online and offline, now unmistakably centered around its digital presence.

But what happens when those layers start to collapse into each other? When strategy gets swapped for speed, design becomes aesthetic mimicry, and communication mistakes noise for relevance?

THE SESSION:

This session brings together Aneta Bogdan and Cristian Kit Paul, founders of Brandient, who bring over 30 years in branding to this question and to this moment. In this conversation, they will reflect on the tensions reshaping the field and the room still left to maneuver within business and consumption.

This is not a masterclass. There are no frameworks to copy and no step by step playbooks. It is an honest, clear headed discussion about what is actually happening in branding today.

Expect an honest look at short termism as a dominant behavior. A skeptical eye on the convenience fool’s paradise. A clear unpacking of AI’s almost magnetic appeal. And a frank examination of what happens when design aesthetics overtake design thinking, becoming a quiet but powerful temptation that sidelines the most important question: why should anyone believe you?
