Leading in a BANI World:
Building Adaptive and Systemic Leadership
For years, leaders used VUCA to understand a fast-changing world. Today, that lens is no longer enough. The BANI framework (Brittle, Anxious, Nonlinear, Incomprehensible), coined by futurist Jamais Cascio, reflects our reality more accurately: fragile systems, rising stress, unpredictable outcomes, and overwhelming complexity.
In this context, familiar leadership practices fall short. Strategies collapse, anxiety spreads, and cause-and-effect is no longer straightforward or easily perceived. To succeed, leaders must build adaptability, resilience, and systemic awareness — and lead with clarity and trust even when no clear answers exist.
Our new leadership program – Leading in a BANI world – is the strategic response. Through 4 modules across 9 days of advanced learning, starting November 2025, leaders will expand their operating modes, strengthen adaptability, regulate under stress, experiment in uncertainty, and lead from values and relationships.
